Great Backyard Bird Count at Armco Park

Help us create an official count for the Community Science project known as the Great Backyard Bird Count. Everyday people all over the world will be contributing to this long-standing event which provides crowd-sourced data to professional ornithologists, helping them to identify bird population and migration trends and patterns around the globe. 

Our contribution will be to tally the bird species we can identify by sight and sound around Armco Park. Feeders will be set up around the heated Jones Pavilion so you can stay indoors and watch from there, or you may choose to go on a walk with some of our volunteer naturalists around the park to check out different habitats. This is an Open House style event so feel free to come any time from 8-1 and stay as long as you'd like.
