Community Science (also known as Citizen Science or Participatory Science) allows people of all backgrounds and ages to contribute to scientific discovery. By using crowd-sourcing strategies, professional scientists compile and analyze data submitted from around the world to identify patterns and trends.
Programs we may touch upon could include iNaturalist, eBird, Project Feeder Watch, MonarchWatch.org, Project Bud Burst, ODNR's Water Quality Monitoring, and more! If you have one you are particularly interested in learning about, drop us a note so we can include it!
Some of these programs have phone apps that help users report data. Feel free to install them ahead of time if you would like. If you don't have a smart phone, no problem!
The program will take place at Armco Park's Jones Pavilion, 1223 N SR 741, Lebanon, OH 45036 on Saturday, 3/22/25 from 11:30am-1pm.
